MSI: What's Your Strategy?

How many people do you know are currently living from paycheck to paycheck? How many of them are merely one paycheck away from becoming homeless?

Just the other day I was sitting alone thinking about a few things, and in the process MSI came to mind. What is MSI you ask? It stands for Multiple Streams of Income.

I began to ponder a little more about this topic by asking more questions:


  • I wonder what percentage of middle class individuals even consider generating MSI
  • How can I generate MSI?
  • Where do I begin to set a plan or strategy in motion?
  • How long did it take other middle class individuals to put their plan in motion?
  • How long did it take for them to see fruits of their labor?
These are all valid questions, as I believe there are so many middle class individuals struggling to make ends meet. However, it also makes me wonder...what percentage of the average middle class household is willing to take some sort of risk or investment in order to set their plan in motion to generate that much needed MSI? 

We've all heard the saying, "It takes money to make money". With that being said, what's your strategy to "Make It Happen"? (see previous Blog post)

With the economy the way it is today, it's tough surviving off of one income alone. Here are a few benefits of generating MSI:


  1. Extra money to put away for a rainy day
  2. Extra money to play with (shopping, dining out, travel, etc...)
  3. Extra money to pay down or payoff debt
  4. Extra money to invest in others (friends & family)
  5. Extra money to invest in property (renovate, rent out, and/or flip houses)
In order to reap the benefits of any of the above, a well thought out plan must be put in place. 

Another way of generating MSI is to consider turning your hobby into a business.

Once you've thought everything through, put your plans in writing.  Start a checklist if you must. That way, you'll be able to keep track of your progress along the way. 

I'll leave you with this mental note:

Regardless of how long it takes to complete your goal(s), what matters most is the sense of accomplishment and fulfillment upon completion! You gotta start somewhere. So, just Start your strategy TODAY!

Be Prepared!

Good morning y'all. I was sitting here listening to a YouTuber's commentary about Trump supporters & David Duke & how Trump is firing up White Nationalists, and when the guy said: "All I'm saying is...Be Prepared, because things are going to get worse after this election"....I immediately thought about this old Lion King song, and how fitting it is to things going on right now. Dark Girls Rise! 06/26/2013 K.R. Brumfield Part 1:      On Sunday, June 23, 2013, the Documentary Dark Girls premiered on OWN ( Oprah Winfrey Network ). It’s a Documentary about the negative images, low self-esteem, and colorism amongst Black women and the African-American Community. The Documentary is directed by Bill Duke & D.
