SYNOPSIS for Next Book

"How Did You Get Here?" Capri Garnet and Keima Reynolds are two single, Black women in their thirties seeking Mr. Right. Along their journey, Capri encounters some dangerous, psychotic circumstances that she doesn't immediately take serious. When things become much more intense, and after a heart to heart talk with her best friend Keima, only then does Capri take the situation seriously and asks herself, "How did I get here? How did I get myself into this situation?" After so many dead-end, meaningless dates, Capri decides to give up on finding that perfect man. She's decided that love is just overrated, thus relinquished dating or even giving any man that looks her way the time of day. Although she's put up defensive walls to shield her feelings from men, there's one who continues to weasel his way around those walls by occasionally texting and calling to try and win her back...or get some for old times' sake. State of the Union

So last night was President Obama's State of the Union Address. I thought he covered a lot of great points. Healthcare Reform Clean Energy Fairness across the board (Rich & Poor should have same opportunities) Teamwork makes the dream work Education Immigration Reform Jobs/Economic Recovery I especially love how he wants the wealthy 1% to start paying more taxes. That just never made sense to me how wealthy individuals could get more tax breaks than the hard working, struggling middle-class people. We're the ones who need help the most, not the ones who already have wealth & numerous resources to create more wealth for themselves. I also agree with more jobs and businesses being created right here in America; because simply put, the more we outsource, the more we'll fall economically. Whatever happened to: "MADE IN USA"? We depend on other countries too much for things that can be created right here. I also believe that everyone should have a right to a go

'Red Tails' Sting Like Scorpions

Historical Background: WWII was a war between U.S. and Germany. This was the time of Hitler's Socialism or Nazi regime. During this war, of course there was tremendous segregation. Sad to say, segregation not only took precedence in civilian life, but military life as well. Blacks were allowed in the military, but could not engage in any real combat. And so the Revolutionary innovation began... The Tuskegee Airmen stepped on the scene and changed the game! This group was a force to be reckoned with. In the movie, 'Red Tails', Col. Bullard (played by Terrence Howard) fought with everything in him to get his crew the opportunity to show and prove that they're just as good, if not better, as the white fighter pilots. He was persistent, stern, held his ground, and was finally given the go-ahead for his team to "assist" some white flight bombers. Cast: Terrence Howard (Col. Bullard) Cuba Gooding Jr. (Major Stance) Ne-Yo (Smoky the Musician/Comedian) David Oyelowo (
