Salon Experience

On Friday, May 24, 2013, I had my first Salon Experience since I've been natural. I decided to go to a professional to get my hair colored, shampooed, conditioned, blow dried, flat ironed, and trimmed. I can't recall the last time I visited a hair salon. Keep in mind, I've been natural since February 13, 2010. The stylist was very friendly, and made my experience rather enjoyable. I was so pleased with the results, that I will definitely be going back. Also, just an FYI...I allowed the wind and humidity to blow my hair all over the place when I went to the beach, which is what I anticipated anyway. At least I now know the true length of my hair, and can see how healthy it is. This Salon Experience has also allowed me to see the progress of my Natural Hair journey, how much it has grown.

At first we were a little skeptical about going because of the weather forecast, but decided to go anyway. Once we arrived, we were so elated with our decision to move forward with our plans. The wind was amazing! No sweating for us... We truly enjoyed our strolls along the beach, along with a few drinks on the balcony of our hotel room. Although there was a mishap with our hotel reservations, everything
