Betty's Birthday Bash

My family planned a Surprise 70th Birthday Bash for my Aunt, Betty on July 27, 2013.  It was held at the Double Tree Hotel in Kenner, La., which is located near the New Orleans International Airport.

So many family members went out of their way to make the necessary preparations. Throughout all the chaos and running around to make sure everything went on without a hitch, we still managed to pull it off and have a great time!

While in New Orleans for the event, I stayed at my mom's house, and my brother drove down from Baton Rouge. As you will see in the video footage, I took quite a bit of pictures.

We had a blast! Hope you guys enjoy this snippet of the party.

Be Prepared!

Good morning y'all. I was sitting here listening to a YouTuber's commentary about Trump supporters & David Duke & how Trump is firing up White Nationalists, and when the guy said: "All I'm saying is...Be Prepared, because things are going to get worse after this election"....I immediately thought about this old Lion King song, and how fitting it is to things going on right now. It may seem silly or simple of me to use a cartoon for something so serious, but I really believe a lot of reality is hidden subliminally in movies. Dark Girls Rise! 06/26/2013 K.R. Brumfield Part 1:      On Sunday, June 23, 2013, the Documentary Dark Girls premiered on OWN ( Oprah Winfrey Network ). It’s a Documentary about the negative images, low self-esteem, and colorism amongst Black women and the African-American Community. The Documentary is directed by Bill Duke & D.
