Somber Saturday

As we toss & turn
And struggle to sleep the night before

Parents of the slain
Will find it hard to sleep forevermore

For this somber Saturday
Will linger amongst hearts like never before

Let us remain prayerful
On this somber Saturday

Let’s keep the faith
During this time

I pray for their minds
As such a tragedy as this
Calls for intercessory time

As I was sitting at my desk at work today listening to a new song being performed by one of my favorite Old School Hip-Hop groups called A Tribe Called Quest ( also known as ATCQ), I had a flashback of the 90's; which was a great era for music. Be Prepared!

Good morning y'all. I was sitting here listening to a YouTuber's commentary about Trump supporters & David Duke & how Trump is firing up White Nationalists, and when the guy said: "All I'm saying is...Be Prepared, because things are going to get worse after this election"....I immediately thought about this old Lion King song, and how fitting it is to things going on right now. It may seem silly or simple of me to use a cartoon for something so serious, but I really believe a lot of reality is hidden subliminally in movies. Dark Girls Rise! 06/26/2013 K.R. Brumfield Part 1:      On Sunday, June 23, 2013, the Documentary Dark Girls premiered on OWN ( Oprah Winfrey Network ). It’s a Documentary about the negative images, low self-esteem, and colorism amongst Black women and the African-American Community. The Documentary is directed by Bill Duke & D. Channsin Berry, presented by Duke Media & Urban Winter Entertainment .      Basically, I’d like to share aspects of the Documentary with you by touching on specific comments or interviews and adding my opinion. ***********************      I believe this Documentary is a much needed tool within the Black Community, as this topic is not discussed enough, which leads to further miscommunication, degradation, and ignorance amongst us all.  Dark Girls , the Documentary, was very educational.  It touched on subject matter such as our history as a people, colorism & colonization, and how it impacts not only African-American
