Getaway!

So...my baby and I drove to Beaumont, TX for his 20th Class Reunion about two weeks ago. We had a great time. I met his old high school friends and his mom. They're good peeps. There were so many people at the dance that night. We danced, laughed, and had a great time. They played songs from the 90's that made me think back to my high school days...wondering if L.W. Higgins will be having a reunion for the Class of 1995. Hmmm???
So, after the reunion, we drove down to Galveston, rode the ferry, and walked along the beach. It was hot, yet breezy. We definitely needed to just getaway.
Sometimes, getting away from it all is all we need. It can provide such tranquility, a peace of mind, and relaxation. So, for those who are just discovering my blog page...here's an FYI: I love to travel and see/experience new things. So, you'll see plenty of pictures posted and talked about on my blog page.
Can't wait to share all my great getaways with you all.
While in Galveston, we ate at this place called "Fish Tales" on Seawall Blvd. The Customer Service was superb, and the food was pretty good. My sweetie and I shared a Seafood Platter, which included Fried bacon wrapped shrimp, fried oysters, french fries, hush puppies, crab cakes, and fried catfish. Yep, it was a lot, which is why we shared!
Across from "Fish Tales" restaurant is "Pleasure Pier", which is an amusement area full of rides and carnival treats. Of course, there's an Admission cost. Nevertheless, Galveston is a great getaway or "Stay-cation" if you will. Until my next travel story...

Peace and Blessings!
