Sore Losers

Webster's Dictionary defines "sore" as angry, irked...
Well, that's exactly what the Lakers must've been feeling for the last 4 games in the Playoffs; because Artest & Bynum definitely expressed their feelings like the usual "sore" loser would, by taking their anger or frustration out on the other team.

I simply look at it as an expression of Newton's Law of Gravity: What goes up, must come down. At some point, the Lakers' dynasty had to come falling down.

Personally, I believe that the Los Angeles Lakers are a good team; however, ever since some of their players became arrogant, I could no longer tolerate them. Again, he who exalts himself shall be humbled; and he who humbles himself shall be exalted. The Lakers were definitely involuntarily humbled by the beat-down from the Dallas Mavericks, and the Mavs were exalted!

Other than Lakers fans, who wants to see the same team win the NBA Championship over & over? It's simply time for someone else to shine!

Back to Artest & Bynum...
I titled this blog Sore Losers, because Artest & Bynum did not have to commit such violent acts against Barea. I mean come on, you were already losing the game. This was very unnecessary. By taking those shots at Barea, did it earn you anymore points for your team? Did it help you win the game? Plain & simply, it did NOT! I'm sure those licks at the time made you feel good to let our your anger and frustration, but afterwards, think about the backlash it has and will cause. People will be talking about this for quite a while, and I'm surprised the league hasn't tried to fine the team or at least fine Artest & Bynum.

Also, what's going on with Gasol? For the last few games he's played, it seemed as if his mind was somewhere else. He was missing passes & shots. Not only did Gasol play weakly, but so did some of his other teammates. While many have said that the last few games had to be fixed because of the way the Lakers were playing, I still would like to just think that maybe they played poorly due to a combination of things. Things such as personal issues, fatigue, or the simple fact that their season is up.

Best wishes to the Mavs!
