Going Natural

I have decided to go natural. The last time I had a relaxer on my hair was the weekend of Valentine's Day. So its been 3 months & counting. I made the decision because I was tired of the chemicals from the relaxer on my hair. I am all about preserving the health of my hair, and I think my hair is so grateful for this decision.

Now I wear it in a short curly or wavy Afro. I am really enjoying the versatility of going natural this way, because I can still straighten my hair every now & then with a flat iron. However, I wear it curly more than straight, because too much heat on the hair is not good. So stay tuned to see how much my hair is changing.

As I was sitting at my desk at work today listening to a new song being performed by one of my favorite Old School Hip-Hop groups called A Tribe Called Quest ( also known as ATCQ), I had a flashback of the 90's; which was a great era for music. Be Prepared!

Good morning y'all. I was sitting here listening to a YouTuber's commentary about Trump supporters & David Duke & how Trump is firing up White Nationalists, and when the guy said: "All I'm saying is...Be Prepared, because things are going to get worse after this election"....I immediately thought about this old Lion King song, and how fitting it is to things going on right now. It may seem silly or simple of me to use a cartoon for something so serious, but I really believe a lot of reality is hidden subliminally in movies. Dark Girls Rise! 06/26/2013 K.R. Brumfield Part 1:      On Sunday, June 23, 2013, the Documentary Dark Girls premiered on OWN ( Oprah Winfrey Network ). It’s a Documentary about the negative images, low self-esteem, and colorism amongst Black women and the African-American Community. The Documentary is directed by Bill Duke & D.
