'Tis The Season


Well it's that time of year again...my favorite time of year! December/Christmas season! I love Christmas because it's such a joyous occasion. 'Tis the season to give, love, and cherish all that God has blessed us with-not just the material, but our family, friends, and loved ones.

Today, 12/02/2009, we had a little snow in North Dallas. It was just as beautiful as any other snow day in Dallas, TX. Another reason that I love this season is because of the warm, cozy feeling this season gives me. I also enjoy seeing all the festive Christmas decorations, so one could imagine the feeling I got this morning when the snow started to fall! I started singing to myself in the car: "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...".

Since this is our last week at GE Healthcare, a few co-workers and I were taking advantage of this beautiful Winter day. We took a few pictures in the lobby in front of the company's Christmas trees as well as a few out in the snow. Can't you tell how happy and excited I was by that big "Kool-Aid" smile on my face within the pictures?! I'm smiling right now as I type these words!

I hope we get more snow the week of Christmas...but wait....that's right, I won't be here in Dallas for Christmas. I am going home for Christmas. I miss my nephew, other family members, and friends back home. Can't wait to see them.

I am just killing time right now. So until next time, enjoy this Holiday Season.

As I was sitting at my desk at work today listening to a new song being performed by one of my favorite Old School Hip-Hop groups called A Tribe Called Quest ( also known as ATCQ), I had a flashback of the 90's; which was a great era for music. Be Prepared!

Good morning y'all. I was sitting here listening to a YouTuber's commentary about Trump supporters & David Duke & how Trump is firing up White Nationalists, and when the guy said: "All I'm saying is...Be Prepared, because things are going to get worse after this election"....I immediately thought about this old Lion King song, and how fitting it is to things going on right now. It may seem silly or simple of me to use a cartoon for something so serious, but I really believe a lot of reality is hidden subliminally in movies. Dark Girls Rise!

Dark Girls Rise! 06/26/2013 K.R. Brumfield Part 1:      On Sunday, June 23, 2013, the Documentary Dark Girls premiered on OWN ( Oprah Winfrey Network ). It’s a Documentary about the negative images, low self-esteem, and colorism amongst Black women and the African-American Community. The Documentary is directed by Bill Duke & D.
